RST’s Sub Exiled, Sgt. Jonny Under Investigation – Titan League’s Cheating Crackdown
The Squad competitive scene just got a whole lot spicier—and for once, it’s not because of a team rage quitting. Titan League has officially handed down a punishment after catching an emergency sub red-handed with cheats, while another high-profile player is now at the center of an escalating controversy.
RST’s Emergency Sub Fumbles the Bag
In a dramatic post-match revelation, Titan League confirmed that an RST player—emergency substitute [PHT] 李文搏—was caught cheating in the RST vs. DTNK match. To their credit, RST immediately called out their own player and apologised for fielding him.
Titan League released the following statement:
“After the RST-DTNK game, a cheater was found playing for RST. The player was an emergency sub called [PHT] 李文搏. We have been in contact with the team rep from RST the whole time, who has been transparent with us. RST has pushed this player to the Chinese National Server Ban. We thank RST for their quick action as they called the player out before the TL staff’s official verdict. The RST-DTNK game will be a 400-ticket win to DTNK, and PHT will be banned from participating in future tournaments held by Titan League.”
A 400-ticket loss? More like 400 Squad social credit score loss for [PHT] 李文搏. The player has now been sentenced to the Squad version of exile—the Chinese National Server Ban, where cheaters go to reflect on their sins (or, more likely, figure out how to cheat better).
Props to RST for handling this swiftly and for Titan League catching this cheater! Unfortunately, the investigation doesn’t end here.
Sgt. Jonny: Top Killer or Top Banned?
While 李文搏 takes his seat in the Hall of Shame, another name has become the focus of Titan League’s most pressing investigation: Sgt. Jonny. A player for 44th and— inconveniently—a member of the tournament’s organisers’ team, Jonny is under scrutiny for potential cheating.
Initial Suspicion
Jonny first drew suspicion after a recent match, where two questionable clips were flagged.
When asked to provide a POV recording, he stated he hadn’t recorded his gameplay. If the footage against him had been stronger, this would have been a clear breach of league rules. However, the clips provided were ultimately deemed inconclusive—possibly just luck.
Because of this, as stated in the rules-Jonny was given the benefit of the doubt.
Then, new evidence emerged.
A Pattern of Cheating
Investigators have now linked Jonny to three alternative accounts—all of which have been banned for cheating.
When speaking to one of the communities that banned two of these accounts, they confirmed that both bans were for blatant cheating—specifically wall hacks and aimbot.
The Following Accounts Have Been Linked to Jonny:
🔴 Account 1 – Banned for cheating.
🔴 Account 2 – Banned for cheating.
🔴 Account 3 – Banned for cheating.
Additionally, an investigation into his Steam account history found that he has recycled usernames across multiple banned accounts, further cementing the connection.
Jonny’s case isn’t just about one moment of suspicion—it appears to be a well-documented history of cheating, ban evasion, and deception.
The Grey Area & Titan League’s Dilemma
Despite this damning history, Jonny’s current account has not been banned and there is no clear evidence that he is currently cheating.
Titan League now faces a difficult decision:
✅ He has not been caught cheating in Titan League.
❌ But he has evaded bans at least three times and has a known history of cheating.
This presents an ethical question:
Can a player with what appears to be a proven record of cheating and ban evasion be allowed to compete, just because they haven’t been caught—potentially yet—on their newest account?
One thing is almost certain: If this is all correct, then Jonny’s integrity looks to be in tatters.
People can change, their history is not necessarily their present and as such this will be an extremely difficult decision for Titan League to make.
What Happens Next?
Titan League initially conducted an internal investigation, bringing in non-44th admins to ensure objectivity. They also reached out to Offworld for support.
However, with this new evidence, Titan League will now launch another full review, after everyone has had a good night’s sleep.
Titan League has stated that they will provide an update as soon as possible on their final decision.
Will Jonny be cleared, or is the tournament’s top killer about to be top banned? At this rate, if he racks up any more bans, he’ll have more banned accounts than confirmed kills.
For now, we wait.
