Deep State

The Deep State is a decentralized autonomous collective with a consensus-seeking non-hierarchical governance structure. We value players that prioritize teamwork, communication skills, and a positive attitude – with the goal being to foster a non-toxic, constructive atmosphere. The hope is that the uniqueness of Squad’s gameplay will reward a strongly-bonded, cohesive team, over one that simply prioritizes high-skill gunfighters.

Primarily, our mission is to help shape the Squad competitive scene by refuting the “soldier-for-hire” and “mercenary” structure so many other teams employ, in favor of one where all our members fight under a single banner, have some skin in the game, and have a sense of pride for being apart of the Deep State – whether we win or lose. Secondarily, our mission is to attempt to re-orient competitive play towards the most played gamemode RAAS – in our opinion, RAAS de-emphasizes roll-out-timings and one-lane-strategies, and emphasizes reactive and in-situ problem solving as the fog of war shifts. Tertiarily, our mission is to have more fun than our opponents and meme as hard as we possibly can in hopes that it will inspire other players to engage their creativity when playing Squad like the sandbox that it is.
